I have worked for the same company for thirteen years and I receive 20 paid vacation days and 10 paid holidays.
We don't receive any paid sick days, so if we, or any of our family members are sick and we miss work, we don't get paid. In addition, our company has a "Point System". If you are sick, you get a point against you. If you accumulate 12 points in a rolling calendar year, you may be terminated from employment if that is what the people in charge decide.
For the first two years of employment we receive 6 paid vacation days. From 2+ years to 5 years of employment, we receive 12 days paid vacation. From 5+ years to 10 years we receive 18 days paid vacation. From 10+ years of service we receive 20 days vacation and that's as good as it gets. I'm not complaining. My husband gets 12 paid days vacation per year and that's it. He'll never get any more than that at his current job.
