This is my first time posting on a forum, but had to agree that I prefer blue pens for signing letters. I hate black pens as my writing seems to deteriorate using them, but it does now seem the norm to use them in every office environment. Since breaking my wrist some years ago I have real difficulty in using normal ballpoints, gel pens always smudge. However, I discovered one sort of pen that is easier to write with - they are triangular in shape, not too thin and do not blot. They are Staedtler triplus ball - I really recommend them if you get writers' cramp in meetings.
