Being new here, I haven't learned the ropes, but we are tax payer funded so anything we have will be modest. I think they were talking about doing a departmental lunch.
My last company did a party for the site two years ago, but since they announced last year that they were closing that site this year, the somber mood precluded a holiday party last year. This year that site will be closed by Christmas (most of the people were gone by the end of October).
