We usually do a nice dinner for the leadership and their spouse, my boss's wife plans it.  This year my boss decided he wants to fly everyone to Vegas for a nice dinner, see a show and stay overnight.  I'd already told him I am contemplating not attending since it's always weird being the only person without a spouse.
