I am doing that too Jackie. You just input the hours and the Excel spreadsheet calculates the rest.
I note the hours I clock in, the hours I clock out, but this never seems to tally with out internal system - totally bizarre!
In a previous company we noted our own flexi and kept it in a file which the company secretary could request at any time to ensure we were adhering to the rules.
