We have a written policy on computer use and it includes reference to "limited personal use" of the company's email and website services. The same applies to telephones. My company recognises that people still have lives to run and sometimes access to these services are very useful indeed.
We prefer people to access the internet for personal browsing in lunch break. Inappropriate content is never permitted to be visited and there would be serious consequences if we did.
