The air conditioning is broken and I am feeling very light headed, sweaty and slightly ill ... can I go home now? Jess (homeless cos house sold, hopeless cos I am currently living in a hotel a la Alan Partridge, and helpless cos I cannot get out of the office to cool down!)

It sounds like an icky situation! I would send you a cyber hug but even that sounds too hot and sticky! Can you sneak out and work in a local cafe or restaurant, take some proof reading or a report you have to check! I know I turn into the B word when I am hot.
Wish I could send you cool air, it will get better.

Jennika, thanks for the kind thoughts!
They have now, of course, fixed it so it is too cold in some places (including over my desk!).
Bleedin' typical.
Jess (but at least I have found a flat I can move into this coming Saturday!)

Fresh air is one thing but airconditioning is something else entirely which I can relate to. I am dreading being moved back to one of the other buildings...the ceilings are high, aircon circulates daily, and it is baltic. A health and safety hazzard in itself. Look on the brightside Jess, you won't have to sell the Big Issue now!
