This is a spur of the moment topic.  I was walking past some people working on a laptop and noticed they had a tiny monitor and low resolution (meaning some what bigger text) and could barely fit a document on their screen!   So I am curious on what PAs and admins work on?   So today's topic (and throughout the weekend!!) is:

What size monitor do you use at work, and what is its resolution?

I used a 21" flat screen (Sony) and have my reslution at  1280 x 1024.

To find your resolution right click anywhere on your desktop drop down to properties.   Then click on the settings tab, and  you should see the settings.  I would suggest not changing the number unless you are comfortable in changiing your settings.  I once set mine to high (more than the monitor could handle) and came out with a black screen going ooh no!  I dont remember how I fixed it, but managed to!.

At work - Very good flatscreen - think it is 17" - 1280 x 1024

At home I have a widescreen LCD (not such good quality but takes up less room thatn the 19" CRT I did have) and again 1280 x 1024.

I have just bought a laptop for an organisation I do some part-time work for and opted for a 15"ish widescreen - what a difference it makes to the old laptop screen.  I am also converted to having a stand for a laptop.

Mine is set at 1024 x 768.  I have double flat screens, I think one if 15" and one 17".

17" and 1280 x 1024 at work

At home I have a small notebook laptop so I'm not entirely sure.

Interesting, I wonder how that affects the look of DeskDemon at the different sizes.  I will have to change my resolution to see!

17" flat screen set to 1024 x 768. It works very well (though I daresay it could use a cleaning!)

19", 1280 x 1024, although I do change this depending on the work I'm doing.  I highly covet a wide screen monitor that our desktop manager has been 'trialling'.  It would be amazing for all the reporting work I do.
