I am looking for a job in the Savannah GA area, does anyone know of any jobs other than on the major job sites?

Tina,
Have you tried your local church? Our church has a bi monthly meeting of job seekers where they talk about job openings in the area as well as ideas of good resume writing and interview skills. I have also talked with people (and so has my husband on my behalf) in the store, at church, etc. and have found out about job opportunities. Have you also tried going through some of the smaller agencies - sometimes I have had better luck (and sometimes better pay) with the smaller agencies as opposed to the larger ones. Is there a local IAAP chapter in Savannah? I noticed online the Savannah River College is an IAAP training partner. Try contacting them for networking possibilities. For more info on IAAP go to www.iaap-hq.org |
