Well, no, but they did get me a card and offered to take me to lunch today. I had plans, but they can be changed, so I'll go ahead and take my free lunch. Because why not. I adore one of the bossies and I like the rest of them well enough. Hooray, I did not get flowers! I hate getting flowers. I didn't even tell them; they must have sensed it.

I got flowers. Roses AND lilies! I actually like getting flowers, and since I never get them on any other occasion, it was a treat.

I got a little azalea plant - a beautiful shade of pink. It was given to me by my business administrator. It is probably the only thing I'll get this week, since none of my other bossies ever remember! But that's ok, I love my little plant. And since I'm on vacation next week and plan to spend lots of time digging in my gardens, it's perfect!!!

I never expect anything and actually find the whole thing a little silly. BUT the only way you would get my RED SOX tickets away from me is out of my cold dead hands!!
I am happy where I am, they are happy with me and tell me so every chance they can. Therefore I would not be disappointed if they didn't give me anything. On the other hand MY GOODNESS RED SOX tickets are way above and beyond an excellent gift. Two of my bosses gave them to me today. One is as big a fan, if not more, as I am and the other not so much. I think I am still in shock! I am very lucky.

I'm definitely jealous of the Red Sox tickets, but I'll take what I got just fine! My boss had to travel this week, so he FedExed me a gift certificate to an upscale restaurant in our area. Then he also called me from the road to apologize for not being able to be here to take me out to lunch, and told me how glad he was to have me working for him. He's such a sweetheart!
This is so much better than last year-At my last job, my boss came in after lunch with a handful of mostly wilted flowers (probably the last bit available at the grocery store), and laid them on my desk with no card or note or even a spoken word. I would have rather she just ignored it all together!

Thanks! I am so excited and very luck to have thoughtful bosses. I have had my share of not so great bosses and know when to be grateful for what I have.
The tickets are for the last week of the season - Sept. 26th against the Blue Jays. I can not wait to go and see my boys play some ball. The seats are great and The game will be exciting - the Sox always keep us guessing in September. Happy Friday to you all, enjoy the weekend.

Not tons, but I did get a card from the staff and a hanging planter of pansies. My boss gave me some chocolates and said he'd take me to lunch next week. We'll see if he remembers!
