What software do think is the most "fun" to work with? There has to be one that you enjoy more.
My bet PowerPoint will be high on the list! It is my favorite and I don't get to use it as often as I used to.

I would have to say Powerpoint or Excel - however depends what you are working on and how creative you have to be. I don't think we get much chance of woking with these applications for "fun" whilst in work, given that we may have deadlines to meet. However I do enjoy the challenge to be creative and deliver what is asked of me, or more importantly, to assist others in giving tips or advice to present their work in a business fashion.

Yep, Powerpoint here, too. I'm mostly a "back-office" analyst type, so on the rare occasions I get to use it, it's a chance to let my creative juices flow... The main thing I use it for is a "fun" event, so I don't have to constrain myself to the "corporate" image as much....

We have a web page program called Contribute--every Monday I get to proofread/publish everything the content director has prepared the previous Friday, and I am the one who gets to create new "special" pages (within the given template, albeit, but I still get to be a little creative).

Logo creator, I heard about it from DeskDemon a few years ago and still love it. I use it for all types of graphics. It is so fun. I wish I could share some of the documents I have used it on.

Yep, definitely Powerpoint. At one firm I worked for, I got to put together a presentation for a retirement party. I was given pictures of the retiring principals from birth to present, and I formatted it and set the whole thing to music (which included songs from each decade). That was the most enjoyable work project I've ever done!

My most favorite program to work with is Print Shop. I don't get to use it at my job as a secretary, but I use it at home quite frequently. I love desktop publishing and this program suits my needs perfectly! My 2nd most favorite program that I use at work daily is Excel. I am always learning new things with this program.

Visio, I have recently started using this and am exploring all the things it can do. I really love the way MS Office programs all work together, and you can import items created in one into another. It's fun for me to find time-savers in that manner, and also fun to look like a hero to my managers!

Toss up for me between Word and Powerpoint. After many years of use I can still find tricks in Word and it's still "cool" to me. Formatting, columns, tables, word art, embedded objects, building forms, table of contents and indexes, writing macros for shortcuts of common function - for example I have a macro written to Control Period that will print the current page. I missed the function from Word Perfect and got tired of all the steps. I recently split that macro into two because I have two printers. Control T for one and and Control R for the other! Now Powerpoint - I do presentations quite often, but my favorite had to be one I created for new phone customer service reps for a maintenance call in line for a very large bank with multiple state locations. They gave me pictures of all the rooms in a bank - you guessed it I had fun with sound effects and even made the handicapped restroom flush! It made the presentation entertaining and really helped the csr's understand what we needed when we called in a maintenance request. (I was with the property management company - our state alone had over 500 locations.) I guess I'm a little computer geek and love playing around with the programs.

POSTED BY CAROLZ Creative communication is what it is all about. And there are two software programs that make my job fun! Publisher and PowerPoint give me the chance to create a fun, attention-getting presentation of the information my supervisors need to communicate to the rest of our employees or the public, and impress my supervisors at the same time. I love working with PowerPoint because there are so few who use it at any level in my place of work, so I can wow people with very little effort. And everytime I use Publisher, I find a new way to be more creative. When I am given a project to do, the supervisors are giving me permission to play - on the job! It can't get any better. Any good Mind mapping software - I love to Mind Map but my writing is really scruffy when I am brainstorming so the software helps me get more out of it by being able to read the initial ideas. Then I get to 'decorate' it to emphasise the key points.
