Laundryhater... maybe you and I were the same generation. Maybe I'm off base on some of these things. The thing I remember... parachute pants. One of my only times of actually giving in to fashion and buying the "fashionable" thing. Now I wish I'd kept them just in case they came back in. One pair of hardly ever worn parachute pants.

Gauchos'....(a rip off of the Argentinian cowboy!) Who remembers Palazzo pants? The legs were wide enough for three teenage girls! And Elephant bells? Matter of fact, a lot of the pants and sweaters I see girls wearing today could have been hanging in my closet in 1975! And disco! Funny, Old Navy uses these songs, and the kids think they're new! I danced to them, and had the records in storage long before these kids were even born!
Oh, I love these trips down memory lane! Thanks for making me feel young again!

(btw, who remembers the original release of "The Excorist" and "Jaws", not the 25th anniversary editions!)

You're in luck CountriGal!
One of my husband's younger friends from work (in his early 20's) came over wearing parachute pants the other day. I think this means they are back in style because this guy is always wearing stylish stuff.
I loved my parachute pants when I was a teen! They were the most comfortable things. I wore them everywhere.
Remember when all the girls dressed like Madonna? My sister was one of them.
I found a local radio station which plays 80s hits. It's my new favorite station. They don't make songs like they used to. I just can't get into the new songs like I can the 80s hits.

OMG! Now I really wish I had kept those dang pants. Being in the mid-west the style hasn't gotten here yet, but I'll look forward to seeing them. Just wait till I tell my mom!
As for the music, I agree. For rock, the 80's have this new stuff beaten hands down. Wish I could find that kind of station here...guess I'll just have to continue going to the bar/pub and watching their "Oldies" for my 80's hit.
