LOL! You;d just better HOPE the US team gets eliminated or I can see the forum board postings now. In fact I had better call a staff meeting to discuss the contingency plan for the unlikely event that the UK and US end up in play.
And Akara, you're right, I have to say, between theJubilee and the World Cup the UK wins for party panache!
Moi....

Not a very exciting match was it. The reason I know ... I didn't get shouted at for getting too giddy/loud and standing on the chairs in the conference room !!!! Still, Becks looked as hot as ever. The good thing is though, the next match is on Saturday at 12.30 ... that means the pub all afternoon!!! Ahhhh, poor Argentina ... on the plane home. Hee hee hee!! Amanda

USELESS WORLD CUP TRIVIA NO 659: Apparently sales of Argentinian wine dropped in England recently, but rose in Scotland! Jackie www.iqps.org DeskDemon Forum Board Staff

My father and stepmother live in Orkney. They tell me that their neighbours will support anyone but England! I would therefore assume that Argentinian wine sales rose in Scotland because the Scots automatically supported England's oponents!! Though of course I cannot say if this is true for all Scots...
My folks were down for the Jubilee weekend, and my stepmother bought a huge George flag in London because English flags are not for sale in Orkney, and she's an England supporter.
I keep wondering if she's been beaten up yet, flaunting her England flag around Orkney... Akara
