I have been with my current organization one whole year... effective last week.
I am in dire need of a raise.... even if it's medial. But, my company is notorious for putting reviews on the back burner, and getting around to it months later (but, they DO retro-act the raise to anniversary date). But I need it NOW... not in a few months.
Is there a way I can casually mention to my boss (who is a great friend, by the way... she's my age and a super boss to work for!) that I would like to get that ball rolling?
I suspect that my review paperwork isn't generated from my boss.... I think it comes from HR.... which is run by someone with way too many balls to juggle and won't get around to it for a while.

Jade I would just be straight forward with my boss and ask my her/him that since it's been a year I have been here, I would welcome my review to discuss quality of my work and assess areas of improvements, etc. Good luck Bea

AND if you can be sure it'll stay personal and not boss/secretary, tell her you need the money now! Jackie www.iqps.org DeskDemon Forum Board Staff
