I remember reading an earlier post about the ABC show "The Bachelor" last season and I wholeheartedly agreed with most of the posts.  The concept of a bunch of women vying for a man's attention made me roll my eyes in disgust.  I caught 10 minutes of the show and hated it - the bachelor looked/acted like a creep.

But...at the opener of this season's Bachelor, I was held hostage by a group of women who turned this show on at my gym while I was working out and now I'm very, very ashamed to admit that I've gotten hooked!!!  I still think the concept of the show is stupid, but I can't help myself - this guy is so darn cute !  My DH is amazed that I watch it too - totally out of character for me.

So, now that I've "come out of the closet", is ANYONE out there watching this show, and if so, who do you think he'll end up with??

I just checked it out - go to abcnews.com to get ABC's home page, then click on the Bachelor.  You can catch up on everything you missed.  And what a fine photo of Aaron - yum!  (I can't believe I'm hooked on this crazy show - it's totally out of character for me).  I seriously doubt that I'll watch the next one as closely as this - Aaron would be a tough act to follow.  My husband is still shaking his head over this one...

I admit it.  I watched last season and I've watched this season, too.  I don't watch a lot of TV, but I watch this one on Wednesday nights.  I'm rooting for Brooke.  I can't stand Helene's voice.  It grates on my nerves.

Other shows I watch are:  Monday, 7th Heaven; Tuesday, JAG; and Thursday, Survivor.  I just catch an hour or so here and there on the other days of the week.

Is this the same as our Mr Right here in the UK? - it sounds like it.  (start with 10 girls and eliminate week by week (viewers choose who he keeps safe from week to week) he dates them all and they all fall in love, we don't know anything about him, except he's quite nice looking....!  Oh, and his surname is Wright!

As for JAG?  What's that?  A programme about me?  (My initials!!!)

Judge Advocate General - It's the Navy's version of lawyers.  Very interesting program.

Sounds like the difference between the Bachelor and Mr. Wright is that here the viewers don't choose, the bachelor does.  And he starts with 25 girls.  A side note:  where on earth do they find 25 tall, thin gorgeous women who are all single??  Most of these girls are so lovely they could be models.

JustPeachy:  I watch JAG, too. It's been my favorite ever since the first season.  JAG and the Bachelor (this season, at least) are my only "must see" shows.  I, too am rooting for Brooke now, but I really wanted to see him with Gwen.  I don't watch much else, unless you count my son's favorite shows:  Zaboomafoo and Clifford the Big Red Dog.

I love this show, even though it glamorizes behavior I don't believe in personally.

Ok... let's hear it: Who thinks Brooke is WAY too immature for Aaron, and that Helene is gonna "win"?Huh?

Never watched it, never want to... but I have to vote for Brooke since she's from Alabama. Gotta root for the home-town girl.  Besides, I've heard her on the radio when she's come home for visits and such and she seems so down-to-earth and nice.  We'll just wait and see though...
