1.) Key in the first 3 digits of your phone number into a calculator
(do not key in your area code).
2.) Multiply by 80.
3.) Add 1.
4.) Multiply by 250.
5.) Plus last 4 digits of your phone number.
6.) Plus last 4 digits of your phone number again.
7.) Minus 250.
8.) Divide by 2.

Is it your phone number?

Not quite - one digit out!  Think it's different for UK nos.

(Hence the title of this note which I ignored as I have been so busy today!!!)

Too cool.  Wonder how someone figured that sequence out.

I put a random digit at the end of my phone no (UK - six digits, excluding the area code) and it worked.  Very clever indeed.

Worked for me!

Just started snowing here, goodness knows if it'll lie or not - certainly not in the city for a while as it's very damp, but I suspect I have snow at home on the hill!

Didn't work for me, maybe because the first digit of the last four of my number is a zero?

Laura, try again.  I did it and it worked.  I inverted by last 4 (9042 became 0942) to test it and it came up with my (new) #.  It might matter if you hit total between each step, as your calculator might not respond well otherwise, or at least I noticed a problem on mine if I didn't total at each step.

Kinda cool....
