I need a pic and I have searched Microsoft's clip art gallery and am not finding what I'm needing, though I know it exists. I'm putting a flyer together and they are very specific in wanting a thermometer on it, the one that shows the top blowing off and the red flying up... ya know which one I'm talking about??? I can't find it and I don't have time to search all the clip art galleries out there and was hoping that maybe one of my fellow DD'ers might have a copy that they could share with me or could send me to a specific website to grab it.
many thanks in advance....

It fit perfect, wowed 'em (guess they didn't expect me to actually come through) and is now in reproduction. Thanks again. It's great to have y'all out here to help out in times of crises like this.

Nothing like that... We're preparing for a big inspection and are having an information/education fair for all employees. Our theme is "Have you caught the fever?" and we're using a big thermometer poster (usually used for the CFC contribution tracking) to track the # of employees who have "caught the fever", or attended the fair. The CFC thermometer is similiar to what I described, and remarkably like what Liz provided and we wanted that for tie-in between the flyers advertising the fair and the actual fair.

I am thinking of starting a clip art-collecting project. The school would never use commercially prepared clip art, but hand drawn and reproduced work would enhance our newsletters, etc. I have been thinking of asking the faculty/staff to draw me some pictures over the summer. Any ideas on the best way to get the drawings onto my Mac (yes, and it's an old one, too) and organize/store them? We do have a scanner available, though I've never used one. We are painfully low tech!

Scan the drawings and save them a TIFF files with the .tif on the end in case you want to export them to a PC later. Give them a file name consisting of a number, a description, colour or b+w and the number of pixels.
You could use a content management system to manage them, but I would recommend a folder with print outs with the file name written on them.
