Tour De France

Has anyone been watching this on cable this month? Ive been getting an education in it since my hubby used to race bikes and work at a bike shop in his younger years. Its just so interesting and so much to learn about it.
Any of our friends across the pond have to deal with this tour or been to the tour in the past? Would love to hear about your experiences with it good or bad.
We are just in awe that there is a network out there OLN (Outdoor Life Network) that is running nothing but the tour for the month of July. Usually hubby only gets to see the highlights but to actually watch the race for a few hours is totally awesome.
