Believe it or not, Wegmans is out of our area and they were on the top of the Fortune list this year of places to work. Hard to believe for a Grocery store chain that started here in my city and has now moved all the way down to Virginia, New Jersey and beyond! It's a great place to work if you can get your foot in the door.
My former friend works there and has moved out of state and continues to work for them in a warmer climate. She's been there since she left college about 15 plus years ago on a scholarship and she LOVES working with them for the flexibility, good pay and benefits and flexible hours. Starting pay is kinda low, but if you stick with em, they are great!

Hi all
The closest I get is that my future MIL works for number 37 (Marks & Spencer) on the UK list and that also that number 46, Eversheds, are our solicitors!
I must research further to see what the criteria is for these!
All the best, Nicola.

WOW... my hubby works for one in the top 20 on the US list. Last year they were in the top 100... this year in the top 20. Very nice to know. They actually are congratulated and get a few extra perks for making the list.

It is so cool that some of you are lucky enough to be associated with these good companies. To those who work for or who know someone who works for one of them: Can you find out if the employee remembers having filled out a questionnaire? How was it handled? Just curious if the Institute actually asks every employee or takes a sample. Also, what perks/rewards are given? DonnaP99

We've just gone through the whole process for the UK version for this year (I'm managing the project which has been really interesting). The list comes out here in March and we're waiting to hear if we've been successful or not. We don't really expect to get on the list this year, but the benefit is that it will focus attention in all the people-related areas that we fall down on so that we can make improvements in all these areas for the future.
Fingers crossed, anyway.
