I finally have an interview scheduled for Monday morning! This has been so long in coming and there have been a few snafus along the way. I sent my resume in the middle of September! In the beginning of November, I was told by the main bossie that they definitely wanted to interview me. In a couple of weeks, I got a rejection letter! I was so bummed out but I called anyway. Turns out it was a mistake - my letter was accidentally put in with the pile of rejection letters! The main bossie called me personally to apologize and assured me that they definitely wanted to interview me and would do so shortly after Thanksgiving. Well, I guess this is still after Thanksgiving, although I wouldn't say "shortly"!
Anyway, I want this job very badly and if any of you have any thoughts or prayers to send my way, I would really appreciate it. Last night I got a very calm, confident feeling about the whole thing - now if I can just hold onto that until Monday morning!!!!

Great! Nice how the timeline moves so slowly though! Wishing you the best of luck. I'm sure you'll do great. Keep us posted on how things turn out.
Positive thoughts coming your way. And a few prayers always helps.

Great thoughts being sent your way. I think it's a great positive that the bossie himself called to apologise for the mistake they made and that they do want to interview you so stridently. Sounds positive.
Sending everything positive your way!

Yes, CG, that is definitely good. I've heard that from him not just once but twice. And I already know by some other remarks that have been made in the past that some of the other bosses in that department think highly of me as well! I just need to keep in mind that I am not the only one they are interviewing, and I'm sure there are other good candidates as well. I feel that I have a good foot wedged in the door, but I am far from being through the doorway! I do have a couple of weak areas in the job description, but I am convinced I can overcome them. I just have to hope that I can convince them of that and between that and my strong areas it will be enough. Well, as Gee said - what is meant to be will be.

I saw your post and couldn’t help replying to it…you seems to be really excited about this job to have waited this long for an answer.
First remember that while you think you may have a few weak areas from your side, the other candidates may also have things that they are not 100% confident about either.
Second, the thing you seems have on your side is your motivation and drive for this job…what you don’t know you can learn…what difficulties you may face on the job, you can overcome with the right motivation and determination.
What is difficult to place in someone is motivation and enthusiasm if it is not there in the first place...this is something which you seem to have plenty of.
I can tell you that I will always take on someone who actually is excited and motivated about a particular job and actually wants to do it (so long as they are willing to learn what they may not know) over someone who may know it all, but who is not that excited about it.
Just make sure that they understand how motivated you are and that what you may not know you are willing to learn…that’s all anyone can ever ask of you…
Best of luck!

Thanks so much for all your good thoughts! I did have a relaxing weekend, actually slept great last night and woke up this morning refreshed and ready to roll!!!
I think the interview went very well. They understand exactly where my weak areas are; however, the main bossie said that he does not expect to hire someone who is proficient in all areas and that he is perfectly willing to pay for training!!!! I brought along some documentation of things I have worked on in the past to show them what I can do. And they were quite pleased with one document in particular - said it was exactly the type of thing they are looking for. Now, I need to get my thank-you letters underway. Then, all I can do is wait - they said they will decide in 2 to 3 weeks - wonder if I'll have any nails left by then!
Again, thank you all for your support - whichever way it goes, I really do appreciate that.
