On previous occasions and again today I have noticed that the postings I have already read earlier in the day, appear as unread later in the day.

For example, I have logged onto DD just now to read any new postings and the ones showing in red are those which I have already read this morning.  Is this an error and why do I keep seeing these as unread when I always hit refresh after I have read them?

I have a lot of problems with logging in and then returning to the site. It frequently won't let me post when I do that, and it shows old posts as read. If I've clicked away from DD and want to come back, I clear my cache and history, close my browser, reopen my browser and start over from the DD login page.

Checking back to the DD forum this afternoon, I still see messages in red text that I have already read this morning. Can anyone tell me why this happens?

I had this problem when I had blocked cookies from this site.  Then it had no way to store the information pertaining to which messages were read and which weren't.  Could this be the same for you?  Just my guess today...

I've not heard of this problem before Gee, but let me ask our techs to look into it.

Countrigal was spot on with this one. Raj, our tech expert, told me that the only thing he can see that could be causing this problem is that your PC is set to either block cookies, or clear them out every time you leave a site. There's nothing we can do from this end I'm afraid

You have to allow at least two, if not three cookies for DD and the domains it references. Hitbox is one of the other two. If you don't allow them you can't log into the forums.
