Tongue in cheek thoughts that will help you get through any crisis!

1.  Indecision is the key to flexibility.

2.  If you can smile when everything is going wrong, you have someone in mind to blame.

3.  This is as bad as it gets, but don’t bet on it.

4.  There is absolutely no substitute for genuine lack of preparation.

5.  By the time you can make ends meet, they have moved the ends.

6.  Nostalgia isn’t what it used to be.

7.  Not one thread of evidence exists in the idea that life is serious.

8.  I’ve seen the truth, and it makes no sense at all.

9.  One seventh of your life is spent on Monday.

10.  The other queue line always moves faster until you get in it.

Be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a tough battle.

No. 3 is definitely relevant to me at the moment.  Over xmas we realised a small, as yet unidentified, leak is causing the lounge floor to come up.  Have finally sorted out all the insurance stuff, quotes, etc., and were about to engage the builders to start, when last night we discovered water is also coming up through the bathroom floor!  Oh well.  It could be worse...

Yep, that and No. 5 - every time I think I have a little extra money that I can sock into savings, something comes up--the car needs fixing, a faucet needs to be replaced, a cat gets sick--always something!
