Hurray! Microsoft Office 2007 Certified at the Master Level!!!

I am very pleased and excited to announce that I completed the minimum requirements for achieving Microsoft Office 2007 Certified Application Specialist Master Level. This required passing tests in Word, Excel, PowerPoint 2007 plus either Outlook 2007 or Access 2007. I took Outlook, though I plan to sit for the Access test later this year.

This is a goal I had set for myself last year to have completed by the end of this year. I am so pleased with my progress towards it.

Does that differ from 2000 eg. do you only need to pass 4 out of 5 disciplines to become a Master?  I passed all 5 in Office 2000.

I hope to commence study for 2007 over the summer.

Yes gee, for 2007 they have made it three required and one of the two optional (Access/Outlook). Interesting change in my opinion. I think it should be all five, personally. But I can also understand Microsoft's choice, since so many people are terrified of Access.

I've passed three of the four required and will test in the next month for the fourth one.
