The only comment that comes to mind is a bit similar to jwaddington and it really isn't "saving" money.  We downsized and 1/3rd of our space (which the company owns, not leases) was empty.   About 12 months ago we started leasing the cubicles out to small business owners and not only have made valuable business relationships and friends but have made some money (or break even so to say) on mortgage costs.

So what all suggestions did you end up making and how  much money is estimated to be saved? Smiley

Don't forget to add a note about it to your resume and performance review folder! Smiley

And how about if you are paying for much needed off-site storage, going thru that list once or twice per year, and paying for destruction of those boxes. Those boxes of stuff have to be destroyed at some point. If you pay the fee once, you won't be paying for a storage fee again for the next year.

Also we have our lights and our heat/air shut off after a certain time at night and in the mornings it comes back  on long enough to heat the place or cool it in the summer, whichever the case.  It's saved the landlord and us tons of $$$$. We cut our building space in half as we have less employees, landlord is trying to rent the space out.  But we don't have to pay the rent.

Also if you can cut a deal with your venedor on paper, I only order our paper from one specific vendor, and if you get the volume to them, the will usually continue the discount if the orders justify it. Just means talking to your sales rep once in a while, which is also a good thing to do.  Look for price quotes as much as possible.  I try to get at least 3 per order. Takes some time, but you can save a ton.
