My job title is Project Administrator although I am PA to our Director.  My role changed about 3-4 months after I started but the job title did not.  While I do provide a PA role for my boss and his management team, there are a lot of admin tasks that I do which take up quite a lot of my time but do not require supervision or constant management from my boss.  In other words it is just a given that I carry out those tasks without question ... much like the tooth fairy if you like.
